An Evening of Murder, Mystery & Dinner

The Hudson Library and MGP Production’s Youth Theater Program are planning a murder, and need the help of a team of courageous, clever, and good-hearted (though at least one of them may turn out to be a murderer) junior and senior high school students to carry it out.

In partnership with Albert Carlton Cashiers Community Library, they will be staging “An Evening of Murder, Mystery, & Dinner” on Saturday, February 25. Using their best detective skills, participants will be asked to solve a spine-chilling mystery while they share a pot-luck meal (along with clues and gossip). “We’ll be starting at 5:00 P.M. at the Hudson Library, and everyone will come onto the scene in character and in costume,“ says program director and criminal mastermind Megan Greenlee Potts.

“They’ll get a chance to use their dramatic skills and sharpen their talents for character development, memorization, and observation that they’ve been learning in our theater arts classes. However, this special event is open to everyone, not just those who have participated in MGP Youth Theater free productions and classes offered this school year in both Highlands & Cashiers.”The case should be closed in 3 hours. Space is limited and places will be available on a first-come/first-served basis.  This special event is open to the public and free of charge. For questions and reservations, text (828) 200-0889, or email Megan at
