Concerts of Caring benefit local Non-Profits

 Submitted by Theresa Ramsey

Brasstown Ringers spring concert season kicked off on April 29 in Clayton, GA and April 30 in Franklin, NC.  This year, the ringers wanted to show appreciation for support throughout the years, so instead of their traditional bell concerts, they teamed up with Mountain Voices Chorus and Pinnacle Brass to perform benefit concerts and give back to the community to help provide relief to those in crisis.

All three groups (which involved around 70 volunteers contributing countless hours to prepare for the Concerts of Caring) were committed to help raise funds and awareness for these two non-profit organizations:  FAITH (Fight Abuse in the Home) in Clayton and CareNet in Franklin.  Generous support from concert attendees and donors made these first two Concerts of Caring successful events!

Brasstown Ringers will continue their spring schedule with two more concerts: they will collaborate with Epworth Brass Ensemble on May 6, at 7 pm at Robert Foster Auditorium in Epworth, GA to benefit Appalachian Mountain Regional Campus and their final concert will be held on May 7 at 6 pm at First UMC of Union County in Blairsville, GA to benefit Healing Hands Community Clinic.
