Contractors for the NCDOT will be continuing to work on curbing and crosswalk repair and restriping on Main Street starting on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. At times, there may be sidewalk closures and/or lane reductions. There will be signage in place for these pedestrian and vehicle traffic changes.
These improvements will allow for better pedestrian visibility on Main Street and safer crossings. Please be mindful of vehicle speed and watch for workers in the street and in parking spaces as they may be crouched down to work on curbing. This project will take several weeks to complete.
