The Great Smokies Health Foundation’s beloved Sylva Thrift Shop Manager, Bob Champagne, is retiring to sunny Florida at the end of the year. So, the Foundation is seeking the next “Bob” to manage the Thrift Shop.
The Sylva Thrift Shop Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of the Great Smokies Health Foundation (GSHF) Sylva Thrift Shop. The Sylva Thrift Shop Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising a strong team of volunteers at the GSHF Sylva Thrift Shop, including maintaining a safe and healthy working and shopping environment for customers, and security of operational functions. The ideal candidate is a friendly, mature, patient self-starter, with demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, solve problems, and maintain a positive, “can do” attitude in a fast-paced, small team environment. The position reports to the Foundation’s Executive Director.
