Harris Regional Hospital welcomes general surgeon, Dr. Robles to Franklin

FRANKLIN – Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome board-certified general surgeon Gilberto Robles, MD to Harris Surgical Associates. Dr. Robles will see patients at Harris Medical Park Franklin provides quality care at a more convenient location for patients residing within and around Macon County. . Dr. Robles specializes in breast surgery, skin surgery, soft tissue, gastroenterological surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia surgery, and laparoscopic surgery. He joins Dr. Robles joins Allison Palumbo, MD, Ryan Marshall, DO, and Joshua Pratt, DO in providing general surgery services to those in Jackson, Macon, Swain, and Graham County, and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Robles graduated from Instituto Cultural de Occidente in Mazatlan, Mexico, and completed his general surgery residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York City, NY. After, Dr. Robles moved to Franklin, NC, and practiced general surgery here for the past 27 years. He will continue to serve patients in Franklin and the surrounding Macon County area through Harris Medical Park in Franklin.

Dr. Robles has a passion for providing quality healthcare, “I always wanted to return to a smaller town to practice. When I visited Franklin, I knew it was the place I wanted to live. My father practiced general surgery growing up in our small town, and I wanted to do the same. I love the close-knit feel of a rural community and believe in providing quality healthcare to small-town residents.” He resides in Franklin alongside his wife and their two children where they frequently white-water kayak, raft, and horseback ride.
