Officers were able to catch two juvenile suspects last Friday night, believed to be involved in several vandalism incidents which have occurred throughout town.
According to police reports, Sergeant Parker and Master Officer Cherry located the two juveniles entering the public restroom on Pine Street. When they approached, the juveniles began to leave the area and were stopped by officers. Graffiti was found in the restroom and one of the juveniles admitted to drawing it and having done other graffiti in the past.
The juveniles were released to parents and the Department of Juvenile Justice will be contacted regarding legal action for the damages caused.
Chief Andrea Holland would like to thank the community for their continued support of the Highlands Police Department; “without your support, our department cannot effectively do our job to help protect the community”.
