Macon County assists Cherokee County in drug arrest

1/22/2021 Detectives with Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit as well as assisting Deputies and Detectives from Graham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 5161 Junaluska Road, Andrews. During the search a trafficking amount of suspect fentanyl and an amount of Methamphetamine was seized. On 2/16/2021 Michael Christopher Ferguson and Candice Brooke Cole were arrested in Macon County on outstanding Cherokee County warrants for arrest in relation to the search warrant and a separate traffic stop on 1/22/2021. Michael Christopher Ferguson was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance x 2, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Ferguson was held in Macon County on a $55,000 secured bond.

Candice Brooke Cole was arrested on 2/16/2021 during the same incident in Macon County and was arrested on Cherokee County warrants from the search warrant and traffic stop. Ms. Cole was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance x 2, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine. Ms. Cole was also held on a $55,000 secured bond in Macon County.

On 2/23/2021, Detectives with Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Jeremiah Lease Graves for three outstanding failure to appear warrants on the following indictments. Trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Heroin maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place for use of controlled substance, possession of firearm by felon x 2, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance on prison / jail premises, possession of drug paraphernalia x 3, and resist obstruct or delay. Mr. Graves was held at Cherokee County Detention Center on a combined total bond of $200,000 secured.

On 2/08/2021 Detectives with Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Deputies with CCSO, executed a search warrant at 835 Lunsford Road, located in the Peachtree Area. During the search, an amount of suspected Methamphetamine and Heroin was recovered along with other narcotics. Warrants for arrest were issued resulting in the arrest of Heather Nicole Ramsey on 2/23/2021. Ms. Ramsey was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession of heroin, maintain a vehicle place or dwelling for controlled substance and simple possession of schedules II, III and IV controlled substances. Ms. Ramsey was held at Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a $10,000 secured bond. On 2/25/2021, Ms. Ramsey was served an order for arrest for failure to appear on the following indictments. Possession of a controlled substance of a controlled substance on prison / jail premises and trafficking in opium, opiate, opioid or heroin. Ms. Ramsey was held at Cherokee County Detention Center on an additional $400,000 secured bond.
