Macon County Schools Superintendent Dr. Chris Baldwin pens end of year message

As the 2020-21 school year comes to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on an incredibly challenging year for our community and our schools.

Students have persevered through a school year like no other ever experienced. They have demonstrated cooperation, resilience and determination. Thank you!

Our families and community have been incredibly supportive through a variety of unique challenges. Thank you!

Classified staff across our school system have worked diligently to serve our students. These incredible people have placed the health of others above their own in order to serve our entire community. Thank you!

Teachers and teacher assistants have adapted to unimaginable circumstances in order to safely educate our students. Their extraordinary efforts have created a brighter future for all of us. Thank you!

School system administrators have been innovative, proactive and tireless throughout the pandemic. Thank you!

I am extremely proud of our school system and our community for the many accomplishments of our students during this unprecedented school year. The manner in which our community came together to serve the students of Macon County was truly an inspiration.

Thank you all and have a great summer!
