Calling all community members!!
This Saturday and Sunday local Girl Scout Troop 12943 will be hosting a Military Troop donation drive at the Franklin Walmart from 1pm-5pm, look for their canopy at the front of the store.
The Troop will be collecting snacks that are individually wrapped (So they are able to divide amongst many care packages), personal hygiene products, and puzzle books to be sent to service men and women.
Monetary donations are accepted to help pay for snack purchases and shipping costs. Convenient walk up or drive through service available.
Example of items they will be collecting:
Popcorn Ramen Noodles Cookies Crackers (All varieties) Peanuts (All varieties) Hot sauce Gum Candy Beef Jerky (All varieties) Sunflower Seeds Pop tarts Dried fruits
Canned meat Coffee Nutella Peanut Butter
Sailors have use of a microwave but not a refrigerator.
Crossword, Word search, Sudoku books, any activity books for adults. Color pencils and sketch books.
Shampoo and Conditioner
Body wash or soap
Wash cloths or loofah sponges
Chap stick
Deodorant (Male and Female)
Female hygiene products
Toothpaste
Dental floss
Disposable razors
Any other items you think these men and women would love to have please feel free to donate those.
