The Highlands Police Department is asking for your help

On October 13, 2022, over $1500.00 worth of tools were stolen from a construction site at or near 1st Street in Highlands, North Carolina. Between March 9, 2023, and March 13, 2023, over $1000.00 were stolen from a construction site at 110 Lower Lake Road.

An enclosed utility trailer with construction tools was stolen from Split Rail Row in Highlands during the week of March 6, 2023. The trailer was located on a property off Whiteside Cove Road, On Monday, March 13, 2023; however, the equipment was not located.

If you see anything suspicious in your neighborhoods, please contact our agency. We urge you to be diligent in securing your homes and property. If you can put up cameras, please consider installing camera systems.

We are working leads; however, if you have any information, please get in touch with Chief Andrea Holland or Sgt—Detective Tim Broughton with the Highlands Police Department. Any information may help bring the individuals who are responsible to justice.
