The Union Academy Class of 2020 held their formal graduation ceremony on July 20 and 21st. THe ceremonies were held outdoors in the Betty and John Huffman Memorial Garden on the Union Campus. Each student had a private ceremony with their family. Students could ask ten guests to attend. The guests sat together under a canopy to watch the ceremony.
Seniors marched down the sidewalk as Pomp and Circumstance played from speakers. As each student listened to principal, Mrs Diane Cotton, give congratulations and encouragement as well as her last words of advice ; they received their diplomas, turned their tassel and threw their hats in celebration. Photographer Maria Tallent then took them for some graduation pictures in their caps and gowns and with family members.
Union Academy graduated 42 seniors. We were proud to watch their progress and success and wish them the best in life.
