SYLVA – Elizabeth (Betty) Waldroop’s ties to Southwestern Community College go way back to the very beginning, and they run deep.
Her uncle, Charles Siler Slagle, was a founding member of Southwestern’s Board of Trustees. He served on the board from 1968 through 1996, including time as chair, and the board room in SCC’s Burrell Building is named in his honor.
