With record enrollment, Summit Charter School located in Cashiers, North Carolina has embarked on a $6.5 million campaign, Help Us Reach Our Summit, to support phase II of its expansion from a K-8 to K-12 school. In 2018, Summit started adding a new high school grade annually, graduating its first senior class in the spring of 2022.
Since it was established as a K-8 school in 1997, the tuition-free public charter school has experienced historic growth. Summit was one of the first charter schools in the state.
