Chamber, TDA partnering to sponsor “Sales and Ales” promotion

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Jackson County Tourism Development Authority (TDA), is sponsoring a “Sales and Ales,” promotion to encourage shopping locally during the busy “Back to School,” season. The promotion is for any consumer who spends $25 at any chamber-member business during August and September of 2022. Simply bring your receipt to the chamber (open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) and they will give you a free Jackson County Ale Trail pint glass and sticker. Limit one per person. “This is a way for consumers to support and stimulate our local economy, while taking advantage of the many back to school sales,” said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Donaldson. “It’s also a tremendous opportunity to give our chamber members an economic boost.”Jackson County TDA Executive Director Nick Breedlove agreed. “We’re excited to partner in this project, which helps our chamber, our chamber member businesses, and in many ways gives exposure to our local brewery scene,” Breedlove said. “Our Jackson County Ale Trail is one of the most popular attractions that visitors inquire about both online and in person. This gives them a little something to take home with our branding on it to remind them of their visit to Jackson County, N.C., while also supporting our merchants.”To redeem your $25 receipt, please visit the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce at 773 West Main Street in Sylva, N.C., between Aug. 1 and Oct. 7. Receipts must be from purchases made Aug. 1 through Sept. 30. To find which Jackson County businesses are chamber members, visit www.mountainlovers.com and click on “business directory.” You can also find Jackson County Chamber of Commerce members in the chamber’s membership directory brochure, “Our Town,” which is in various kiosks throughout Jackson County. It is also available online and inside the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.
