The Inside Scoop: Infinite30 in the Mountains accountability

This post is really hard for me. I promised to keep you all updated on my journey with the Infinite30 program, and I will keep that promise. But for you to fully understand the importance of this program, I have to be very honest and vulnerable with you… so here it goes.

One of the coolest aspects of Infinte30 — and one of the biggest differences that I have seen so far is that Mandy Holland Laws has invested in the program in ways that ensure success and accuracy. When you go to sign up for the program, you climb onto the machine that takes accurate measurements of your body, your weight, your everything. Why does this matter so much? Because more than just numbers on a tape measure — this lets you really see and understand your body’s current health — or the lack thereof. This was truly an eye-opener for me.

I knew my clothes weren’t fitting the same as they used to — I knew my jeans were a little tighter, and some of my shirts did quite sit right. But what I didn’t realize is what the extra weight I had gained was doing to my overall health.

The measurements that were taken, paired with my height and age, showed me that I was flirting with a dangerous line of having more consequences than just tighter clothes. I wasn’t just overweight, I was unhealthy.

I am going into my 6th day on this program and I am down 8 pounds. That is INSANE to me. I am going to go next week and get back on the machine to do a weekly update on where my body fat and overall health is measuring, to make sure that I am on the right track.

As some of you may know, I cannot exercise right now. I tore my MCL a few weeks ago, so my mobility is still limited. That is another reason I wanted to do this program — to take some of the load off of my knee because whether I end up having to have surgery or can recover with rehab at home, losing some of this extra weight will be crucial to getting back in shape.

I have three kids. They are VERY active. I often joke that I am raising feral children — and truthfully that isn’t far from accurate. So with them being as wild as they are, I need all the help I can get!

In the six short days, I have been on the program —aside from the weight, I have lost the biggest difference I have seen so far is how much better I am sleeping, which is worth its weight in gold to me.

Just a week ago, I would toss and turn and wake up 2 or 3 times a night. But in the last three of four days — I go to sleep and I STAY asleep until morning. I think I even have to start setting an alarm clock in the mornings because that 6 am internal wake-up call seems to be a thing of the past!

Next week after my official one week weigh-in, I plan to give you guys a full breakdown of my weekly meals, what works for me and what doesn’t, and the good, the bad, and the ugly!!
