Franklin appoints Setser as Interim Manager beginning in June

During the Tuesday night continuation meeting of the Franklin Town Council, the board voted to appoint Justin Setser as Interim Town Manager. 

Setser, who currently serves as the Town Planner, will fill the vacancy left by Summer Woodard, who will leave her post as Town Manager in June. Woodard announced her resignation this Spring and will be relocating to Reidsville, North Carolina where she will take over as the next City Manager. 

Woodard agreed to continue working with the town of Franklin through the current budget process, leaving her last day to be June 7th. 

Setser is a native of Macon County. Upon graduation from Franklin High School Justin attended Haywood Community College, receiving an Associates Degree in GIS/GPS Technology in 2006. Setser was the former GIS Analyst for Macon County. Setser  is a Franklin Fire Department Captain and served on the Town Planning Board and Board of Adjustment prior to his appointment as Town Planner. Setser is a North Carolina Certified Zoning Official (CZO).
