In July 2020, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office began a narcotics investigation into a potential distributor of methamphetamine on Touchstone Way in the Sylva area of Jackson County.
During the course of the investigation the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office conducted three purchases of methamphetamine from Kelly Jean Robinson . On July 6, 2021, a Jackson County Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment on Robinson for three (3) counts of sell and/or deliver methamphetamine, three (3) counts of possession with intent to sell and/or deliver methamphetamine, two (2) counts of maintain a dwelling for controlled substance, and three (3) counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On July 8, 2021, Robinson was arrested and placed under a $100,000 secure bond at the Jackson County Detention Center, where she still remains at the time of this release.
Glad to see law enforcement finally cleaning up Sylva’s streets of these losers. Sylva is becoming a real drug town. Lots more people need to be arrested! I’m sick of these people ruining our once quaint town. They rob your car, your house, your store…then openly sell the stuff, it’s disgusting! Next up, little Mexico up behind Kel Save needs to be put out of business (if the cops are brave enough to get it done) then the meth shack on Fisher Creek, then the meth house up past the church off Dillardtown Rd. Then the fintnyl frat house at WNC needs to go! It’s going on in plain sight. DEA needs to get their team in here. I don’t think the locals can get this under control.
