The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is beginning to cautiously plan an abbreviated season of Concerts on the Creek with our event partners at the Town of Sylva and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department.
The tentative plan is to start the season about a month later than usual on Friday, July 2 and end it on Friday, Sept. 3 (Labor Day weekend). That will be 8 Fridays of Concerts on the Creek, with the Hook, Line, and Drinker Festival (Saturday, Aug. 21) and Greening Up the Mountains Festival (Aug. 28) sprinkled in there for good measure.
We will only move forward as the state’s outdoor gathering size limits dictate, as supplied by N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper. We want everyone to be safe and we’ll certainly be encouraging social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand sanitizing as long as it’s still recommended by state and local officials. We will be in close contact with our public health department officials to assure a safe experience for all.
The 2021 Concerts on the Creek schedule is tentatively:
Friday, July 2: Terri Lynn Queen, Tim Queen and Scott Baker
* Sunday, July 4: Fireworks with concert by the All in One Party Band.
Friday, July 9: The Darren Nicholson Band
Friday, July 16: Rewind House Band
Friday, July 23: Dashboard Blue
Friday, July 30: Band TBA
Friday, Aug. 6: Shane Meade & The Sound

* Saturday, Aug. 21: Hook, Line and Drinker Festival with the Carolina Soul Band (No Friday concert on Aug. 20 in order to setup for the festival)
* Saturday, Aug. 28: Greening Up the Mountains Festival (No Friday concert on Aug. 27 in order to setup for the festival)
