Back in August, H&H Softwash launched an incredible campaign to provide a free cleaning to a local church, revitalizing the property and transforming the exterior — with such a great response, the owners, Bill and Pam Hutson, wanted to take it a step further and continue to give back to the community.
H&H Softwash is now partnering with 828VETS and Bent Willow Bakery to provide a free housewash every other month for a local low-income or a disabled veteran.
This will be an ongoing effort to give back to our veteran brothers and sisters who have given of themselves to defend this country.
There are two ways to nominate a veteran.
1. Visit 828VETS Facebook page and send the required information in a private message.
2. Visit Bent Willow Bakery and drop off the required info on a piece of paper. A bowl or box will be available.
If your nominee meets the criteria they will receive a free housewash. Names will be drawn to determine who gets the next wash.
H&H Softwash is owned by Bill and Pam Hutson who have been heavily involved in charity for 20 years. Bill served in the US Army from 1980-1984. H&H Softwash uses safe low pressure to wash houses, businesses, and roofs. Bill also teaches softwash techniques. For more information about the softwash process or to schedule a quote call 828-200-7495.
828VETS is a local group of veterans meeting at 8:30 every Thursday morning at Bent Willow Bakery for breakfast. We come together to encourage, uplift, and assist each other and to integrate the civilian community with the veteran community in an effort to help veterans in need. All vets are welcome to join in. Just ask for the veterans meeting at the counter at Bent Willow.
Bent Willow Bakery has been a wonderful friend to 828VETS in providing a place for this group to assemble and discuss moving forward with our mission. Bethany of Bent Willow Bakery exemplifies how a great local business can make a huge positive difference in the lives of so many in the community.
