Macon County man arrested for sex crimes against a child

On September 3, 2021 Officer Justin Riles and Sgt. Laurie Beegle of the Franklin Police Department received a call from the mother of a 4 year old stating she had found inappropriate photographs and a video of her son on a friend’s phone.

The officers went to the apartment complex where this incident had occurred and located the suspect, identified as Roy Lee Hurst. The officers asked Hurst about the photos and he indicated he was aware of the same.
