TCS Theatre Arts students to stage fall production of “I Hate Shakespeare!” on December 15th

The Catamount School’s Theatre Arts Class is proud to present its fall production, “I Hate Shakespeare,” a play by Steph DeFerie, on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 6:00pm at the University Center Theater at WCU.
The show is free and open to the public.  Whether you love or hate The Bard, there’s something for everyone in this hilarious comedy! Funny and fast-paced, “I Hate Shakespeare” is an introduction to this classic literature with a modern twist.
“I Hate Shakespeare” at TCS is a student-run production. Students not only act on stage, but serve as leaders in positions of student director, stage manager, props master, costume designer, set design and construction. These students have rehearsed, designed, directed and produced this show, and we can’t wait for you to see their hard work on stage.
Cast and crew members include: Zahir Adam, Faith Blackwell, Dakota Brown, Eddie Daniels, Rae Daniels, Verity Dobbs, Cheyenne Ellis, Kyra Ellis, Maya Ferrer, Dylan Finley, Fiona Hawkins, Regina Lee, Addison Mitchell, Jude Mitchell, Kamron Moore, Leyla Owen, and Sadie Reeder.
The Catamount School is a laboratory middle school operated by Western Carolina University in partnership with Jackson County Public Schools. We serve Jackson County students in grades 6-8, and Theatre Arts is one of our elective courses. The Theatre Arts class hosts two student-led productions each year; stay tuned for our spring production on Friday, May 3rd, 2024!
