Macon County Sheriff Robert Holland said Wednesday morning that no additional details are available regarding the whereabouts of 17-year-old Molly Stamey.
Molly was first reported missing by her mother Jessica Stamey on September 14.
“Please if you see my daughter or even her car please contact me or the Macon County Sheriffs Dept,” read a post made by Jessica on Facebook. “Her name is Molly Stamey and the last time she was seen was around 10 am Sunday morning. She was supposed to be going to work but did not show up at her job. No one has spoken to her or seen her since then.”
On Tuesday, Sheriff Robert Holland provided an update that confirmed Molly was last seen on Monday night driving in her vehicle, a white 2010 Hyundai Sonata, turning off Highlands Road onto Rogers Road. The vehicle was later located and found to be abandoned.
Sherif Holland stated that anyone found to be assisting Molly in running away will be subject to investigation, as well as possible criminal charges.
If you know the whereabouts of Molly Stamey or if you are communicating with her, you can contact her family, call 911 for the Franklin Police Department or contact the Macon County Sheriff’s Office at 828-349-2104.
